asdarley Posted 6 September , 2011 Share Posted 6 September , 2011 I have been asked to try and trace the service history of a villager who served in the war. As he was not killed this is proving difficult! It has occurred to me that he may be on an absent voters list. However, as I am only looking for the one man the prices charged for access to absent voters lists on the net, are to my mind ( and means) disproportionate to my needs.....So, is it possible to access the absent voter lists for free anywhere? and failing that do any Pals happen to have the absent voter list for the parish of Yetminster in Dorset handy? If so I am looking for a Frank Rabbet or Rabbett born 1885 died 1961. Any help or suggestions much appreciated!
bts1970 Posted 6 September , 2011 Share Posted 6 September , 2011 Hi mate I found all my aNM men from the 1918 voters list for the Parish, best i could do and was free from the Wiltshire Family History Centre in Chippenham. Maybe your local or main library may be able to help? Bob
