I came across this photo and article with the heading: "Four members of one Family who Fell on the Field of Honour"! Four members of one Newfoundland family,two brothers and their two cousins,fell in France on July 1st,1916. (left to right): Capt.Eric S.Ayre(N.F. Regt.)-Capt.Bernard P.Ayre(Norfolk Regt.)- Sec.Lieut. Wilfred D.Ayre and Sec.Lt. Gerald W. Ayre (both of the N.F. Regt.). gordon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
