Civil Conviction, leading to discharge

Hello,

I'm sure in our research many of us have come across soldiers who were discharged from the Army due to having been convicted by a civil power.

My question is, does anyone know if there are any records available to the public to ascertain what crime(s) these soldiers were convicted of, and if so where would you find them, other than Soldier's service papers?

Cheers,

Ski

If you had dates & Place of residence I expect they would show up in local press court reports, especially if serious enough to warrant discharge from the Forces in Wartime?

There is a Research site concerning Police/Crime/Etc that might be of use:

Thanks Harry,

After doing a bit more digging i've found that the NA hold the outcome of criminal trials, organised by area.

I'm afraid all i have is name, date of discharge and Unit. Actually while i'm at it does anyone know what Unit of the Corps of Dragoon's would have issued the Regt'l number D/37685, which was issued Post 1919 ?

Cheers,

Ski
