Steel & Tartan

Hi all

Firstly, apologies if this is in the wrong place - I'm sure the mods will move it to somewhere more appropriate if applicable.

This is just to let everyone know that my book Steel & Tartan on the 4th Cameron Highlanders in the Great War has just been published with The History Press. It charts the story of the men of Inverness-shire and Nairnshire from mobilisation through to the breaking up of the battalion, and beyond.

Available from all good online retailers!

All the best

Patrick

  • 5 years later...

Following a recent visit to Inverness (to stop with younger daughter and partner), I have just suggested that they might like to give this to me for my forthcoming birthday. I was intrigued by the war memorial at Kingussie, which lists the fallen by unit - nearly 50% were 4th Camerons.
