Blackblue Posted 5 August , 2004 Share Posted 5 August , 2004 Looks like the CWGC has made a mistake in respect to Mr BENDREY's unit. It appears that he actually served with the 2nd Field Ambulance NOT the 2nd Field Regiment. Can we have this corrected? Regards Tim D

Terry Denham Posted 6 August , 2004 Share Posted 6 August , 2004 CWGC has been notified. It is not necessarily their error as we do not know with what information they were supplied by the Australian authorities but it will be corrected after checking. Will O'Brien Posted 6 August , 2004 Share Posted 6 August , 2004 (edited) There are some interesting documents available at the National Archives of Australia (an excellent research tool which our Pals from Down under should be rightly proud of) regarding Ronald Bendrey. View HERE & then go to View Digitial Copy for Bendrey R.W Page 14 is particularly interesting. Its a letter from Ronald's sister dated 1957 to the Army records Officer. Page 19 too.............it's Ronald's will Oh pants the first link I used appears to have timed out so click HERE for the sites Log In page & then do a search on Ronald Bendrey's name Edited 7 August , 2004 by Will O'Brien
