susan pullen Posted 13 August , 2004 Share Posted 13 August , 2004 On the 1919 Shropshire electoral register I have found two of my ancesters listed as absent voters. Albert WRIGHT b 1896 was a lieutenant with the 407th Battery, RAF & Ernest WRIGHT b 1884 was a lieutenant with the 13th Hussars. The last known whereabouts of Albert was in 1930, living in Shropshire. Can anyone tell me how I can find more information as to their service. Many thanks
Chris_Baker Posted 14 August , 2004 Share Posted 14 August , 2004 Hello Susan, welcome to the forum. There's a lot of self-help you can do here, and you need to do it before anyone can give too much additional help to you. At the top of the forum index page, it says "Notes for new members Please read if you are visiting for the first time". Please do. You will be directed into the parent site of the forum, which is called the Long, Long Trail. There is a section there called "Grandad's war", which fully answers your question.
