KF Kelly Posted 14 August , 2004 Share Posted 14 August , 2004 Hello all, John Sherwood-Kelly (no relation) won the VC at Cambrai in 1917. He later served in Russia in 1919 and as a result of actions there (he withdrew his troops from an action against the Bolsheviks) and a letter he wrote criticising allied involvement in Russia, he was court-martialed. Can anyone fill in anymore detail about this remarkable man? What made a VC winner act in the way he did? Kevin
