Chris Noble Posted 14 August , 2004 Share Posted 14 August , 2004 Good evening pals. "This is a view of the hotel where I am staying" - see accompanying scans wrote Christmas Eve 1916. Having been captured in 1914 my great grandfather was imprisoned in Gustrow POW Camp, Germany through ill-health, he was sent to Switzerland by the Red Cross. The question is, what sort of facility was this and what was the procedure for repatriation of soldiers to the UK via this facility? Any information would be most welcome.
