carninyj Posted 17 August , 2004 Share Posted 17 August , 2004 Hi I tried to post this before but I think it has got lost in the ether! Would someone with access to 'Officers who Died in WW1' be so kind as to try and trace the following for me. I'm looking for a Captain W O Wilson, thought to be William Oliver Wilson, of the RAMC. He may have been with the 'West African Forces' (sic) and allegedly died round about the 20th February 1917. Just to confuse the issue, local records show that there were also Captains Owen Wilson and Malcolm O Wilson, both of the RAMC. Could he be being confused with one of them? Do either of them feature on the killed list? If he can be found, information of where he was born, enlisted and lived would be welcome. Thanks for the help. Anthony Bagshaw Posted 17 August , 2004 Share Posted 17 August , 2004 Carninyj, unfortunately SDGW does not give where born, lived and enlisted information for Officers. This is only on the soldiers died database. However, no W O Wilson is listed on the CD and i cannot find anything on the other two either. Sorry, Anthony
carninyj Posted 17 August , 2004 Author Share Posted 17 August , 2004 Thanks for the effort. It rather confirms what I had thought myself. Regards carninyj
