Appologies for the early posting (I'll not have internet access over the next 2 days). Never-the-less, I would like to post this in memory of Stanley Henry Scarff (a cousin of my late grandmother).

Stanley was a private (no. 1553) in the 1/5th Battalion Suffolk Regiment, and was killed in action on the 21st August 1915, age 19, whilst serving with the 163rd Brigade, 54th (East Anglian) Division in Gallipoli. He was one of 12 members of the battalion killed that day. Like many of his comrades who died, he has no known grave, and is commemorated on the Helles Memorial.
