2603 Pte Francis English

Is anyone out there able to assist me in finding some basic details about this soldier. I am trying to confirm whether he was my GGrandfather's brother who also served in the HLI during WW1.

Although this lists him as 2603 Pte Francis English, my G-Uncle's name was actually Thorpe Francis but always went by the name of Francis (or Frank) - I am led to believe he hated the name Thorpe.

I know he later emigrated to Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada where he married and had children and that he is buried there, but I'm not sure if he served during WW1. If there are any personal details available about this soldier I should be able to either confirm or disprove my theory.

As you are probably all aware, it's difficult to obtain records etc from over the other side of the world.
