ryank Posted 26 August , 2004 Share Posted 26 August , 2004 Hi i am having difficulty in tracking down my grandfathers regiment iam going ropund in circles. he belonged to th 8th irish Liverpool regiment his name was William ryan i have what i think may be a regiment number 370390 and i do know from his death certificate that he was an army pensioner number JR/168R . He died at the age of 33 years old back in 1932 due to problems recieved durring the war. i come from Liverpool and am aware that the 8th irish was part of the Liverpool Kings any help would be truly appreciated Thank you Keith Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Also, where did you find reference to his service number? 370390 was not an 8th Bn number, but 310390 was. Could you have mis-read it? Do you know anything else about him or his wartime service?
