Iam trying to obtain information on my Grandfather William Ryan there must have been hundreds with the same name. He belonged to the 8th Irish Kings Liverpool regiment during the Great War. I think i have a regiment number from his Marriage certificate its (370390) .He was pensioned out of the army after the war i have a pension number of JR64/168R

He passed away at the age of 33years old back in 1932 due to health problems recieved durring service.

Any help or information would be truly appreciated

There are reference books etc. at the Kings Regiment Museum (the 1/8 Irish was part of this) in the Liverpool Museum of Life-Pier Head, which may help.

Keith

Welcome to the forum.

Look at top of the thread where you have posted relating to Long Long Trail and it will give you more advice.

Regards Doug.
