Nickmetcalfe Posted 29 November , 2012 Share Posted 29 November , 2012 Members of the Forum, The history of the 9th (Service) Battalion, Princess Victoria's (Royal Irish Fusiliers) (County Armagh), later the 9th (North Irish Horse) Battalion, is now available. It has been a long haul and at 914 pages is a bit of a monster. A number of members have asked me to post the link to the book's website: http://www.9thirishfusiliers.co.uk/ There is a 'thank you' to the members of the GWF and also to the LLT in the Acknowledgments but I have to publicly thank the members of the forum who have helped out over the years. Kate Wills Posted 29 November , 2012 Share Posted 29 November , 2012 Monumental indeed. 914 pages on high quality paper; this looks to be a superb presentation. Well done Nick, and many thanks for you kind words about the GWF "whose members can answer almost any query on any subject from the axles of horse drawn wagons, to the hobnails used on boots, to the design and use of trench mortars and everything in between."
