Guest pollynation Posted 27 August , 2004 Share Posted 27 August , 2004 I'm trying to find out how i find what regiment Arthur Lund was in, where he served and what medals he recieved if any. I've searched for his medal card but there is more than one A. Lund. He survived the war to return to his village ( Bielby, E.R. Yorks) Any help or ideas would be much appreciated Thanks Pauline
jimmyjames Posted 27 August , 2004 Share Posted 27 August , 2004 Hello Pauline Welcome to the Forum. This soldier could possibly be your man: Private Arthur Lund, 28808, East Yorkshire Regiment A start, anyway. Regards Jimmy
KONDOA Posted 27 August , 2004 Share Posted 27 August , 2004 Most likely starting point is: Arthur Lund East Yorkshire Regiment Regiment No: 28808 However without a known service number these cards are confusing. Better at PRO Kew and check microfilms for all Arthur Lund's Only A Lund immediately visible is; WO 374/43259 LUND, 2/Lieut A
