eko22 Posted 13 December , 2012 Share Posted 13 December , 2012 Hi I found a photograph of a relation, on his cap is HMS Victory, unsure if its a WW1 photograph or he may have been one of the sailors at Portsmouth that helped restore HMS Victory, any help would be much appreciated, thank you
keithmroberts Posted 13 December , 2012 Share Posted 13 December , 2012 HMS Victory was the name of a major naval barracks in Portsmouth. Whether the command was associated with the flagship I do not know. Seamen there would be training, or in reserve or on other shore duties which were most likely to have nothing altogether to do with the ship.
