KONDOA Posted 28 August , 2004 Share Posted 28 August , 2004 Would appreciate background or other mentions of this chap. How many Lord's served? Is there a list?
eviltaxman Posted 28 August , 2004 Share Posted 28 August , 2004 It is possible that "Lord" was his first name. A quick check of the MIC shows 118 hits, several on the first page are only Privates. OK... There's also a few Majors & a Field Marshal, but you never know. Les.
Jock Bruce Posted 28 August , 2004 Share Posted 28 August , 2004 Charles Henry Wellesley Wilson, 2nd Baron Nunburnholme (1875-1924) Searching the online London Gazette at http://www.gazettes-online.co.uk/archiveSe...e=0&Referer=WW1 using 'Nunburnholme ' returns several references to this officer, who was a 'real' Lord. A search of Google, using the same term, throws up various references. Jock Bruce
