Evening all.

Not that i need an excuse, but have been raising a glass to the above Division, tonight.

87 years ago,tomorrow,they got their turn at 3rd Ypres,the 173rd,174th and 175th Brigades,of the Division,moving in to the line.

For some unknown reason, around about this time,i always find Chris McCarthy's book,The Third Ypres Day by Day account,at the library.

Doesn't seem to be around,at any time else!!!

Bit spooky!!

They went in,and were around for the Battle of Menin Road Ridge, and Polygon Wood.

They were back in the Battle,in late October, early November, and took part in the final push for the village

A V.C,and many other decorations, and they also got to spend Christmas,in the area!

Off to the fridge.

All the best.

Simon.
