I received this as a Christmas present this morning from the family.

What a wonderful book, and a pictorial masterpiece of who our forefathers were. Click on the link for a more detailed description.

If only we could name them all.

Cheers Andy.

I won't be able to look at my copy until my birthday tomorrow, but from what I saw in the bookshop, it's a masterpiece, and I'm looking forward to reading it.

It might be worth noting that Big W was selling it for about $22 less than the standard price.

Thanks for the heads up Gareth - will have to pay Big W a visit (as I missed out on a copy from Santa).

For interest - this is the full sized photo of Jim Holland (shown on the front cover of the book), which is displayed on the front wall of the Vignacourt 'Maison de Australiens'

Sounds like a terrific book...... but I guess unavailable in the UK. Amazon (the UK arm) certainly doesn't recognise it.

But someone might know where you can lay your hands on it.....

It is, indeed, an excellent book, but as it's only just been released here, availability in the UK might be some time away. You could try looking at http://booko.com.au for an Australian bookseller, but unless free overseas postage is offered, it'll be expensive, as the book is very heavy.

Unable to find a U.S. seller, I ordered a copy from Collins Booksellers yesterday. Cost was $89.64 AUD ($95.53 USD) with $26.00 of that being postage. I love period photography, so it will be worth every penny.
