Desmond7 Posted 4 September , 2004 Share Posted 4 September , 2004 To the memory of the 16th (Irish) Division. Their bravery in this battle should always be remembered. Thanks to a forum member I can post this 16th DIV. Memorial - not at the Somme, but poignant all the same. Des
Annette Burgoyne Posted 4 September , 2004 Share Posted 4 September , 2004 I nearly missed this as I've been hanging around Hospital all day waiting for op on my hand, have not been home long and was going to leave visiting the forum until tomorrow but could not wait that long to log on. Remembering Ian's great uncle and the lads of the47th Bde, and those of the 20th Division who captured Guillemont on 3rd Sept. 1916.
