Had this book now sitting on the shelf for a while, so going to start reading I expect it will be as good as most of the previous van emden books and as it is about the great man harry patch I expect a good read

A very enjoyable book, about a remarkable man.

Good that it tells the story of his life before during and after the war.

Richard was very lucky to have known him. And we're lucky too that Richard took the time to write the book so that through it, we know Harry too!

Regards

Ian

It's a great book, ans I really enjoyed reading it.

Harry Patch was a remarkable man, but what's more, he was humble. He did not want to be in all the spotlight in which he was put by being 'the last".

He was a soldier that did his job, not more...

But a great soldier.

Enjoy the read
