Richard was very lucky to have known him. And we're lucky too that Richard took the time to write the book so that through it, we know Harry too! Marilyne Posted 7 March , 2013 Share Posted 7 March , 2013 It's a great book, ans I really enjoyed reading it. Harry Patch was a remarkable man, but what's more, he was humble. He did not want to be in all the spotlight in which he was put by being 'the last". He was a soldier that did his job, not more... But a great soldier.
