Beselare Posted 5 April , 2013 Share Posted 5 April , 2013 I was with Johan Vandewalle at the Anzac Rest at Polygon Wood today and he proudly showed me a copy of the Lost Diggers by Ross Coulthart (Harper Collins) which had been presented to him recently by an group of Australian visitors. It is a superb book and covers the Australian photos amongst the 4,000 glass photographic plates found in a French barn. I checked on Amazon and it is not available. The internet shows that it is available in Australia only. Does anyone have a clue when it might be available in Europe? Bob
Admin spof Posted 5 April , 2013 Admin Share Posted 5 April , 2013 Bob I doubtr it will getreleased over here given it wasn't a large print run. I have found it here but at that price, you may as well order it direct frm the AWM for AUD89 including postage: https://www.awm.gov.au/shop/item/9780732294618/ Glen

moggs Posted 5 April , 2013 Share Posted 5 April , 2013 Yes it is a superb book. Monumental in aspect and coverage, the photos are both beautiful and haunting. Personally, I feel privileged having easy access to purchase and hope that others may do so as well. Jonathan
Beselare Posted 6 April , 2013 Author Share Posted 6 April , 2013 Thanks for all the information. I have some visitors coming from Australia soon so it looks like the best (and cheapest) option is to ask them to bring a copy. Bob
Admin spof Posted 6 April , 2013 Admin Share Posted 6 April , 2013 That would certainly sound the way to go.
