I know he served as a soldier in the first world war but have no details of his regiment or service number im afraid. May I suggest that you go to the Forum's mother site (click The Long Long Trail at the top left of the page) and go to 'Grandad's War'. This will give you the basics of how to trace a soldier. Ironically, if he was KIA, theres a higher chance of finding out about him if youre starting with very little. Anything may help start the Pals on this forum off! Best of luck to you.
