roughdiamond Posted 27 April , 2013 Share Posted 27 April , 2013 Hi folks A few years ago, I read a book who's subject was was how men in what is now Northern Ireland enlisted during WW1, it explained how Loyalists of the UVF and Republicans joined up despite the tensions created by the Ulster Covenant and told stories of individuals. I was telling my mate about it who's from an Ulster background and he's keen to read it, but can't remember its title, anyone got any ideas? Thanks Sam
centurion Posted 27 April , 2013 Share Posted 27 April , 2013 Be interested to know of it. My grandfather who was UVF initially joined a volunteer unit in Dublin made up of a mix of UVF and Redmond volunteers (Nationalists)! [it became the nucleus of the 10th RDF]
