tintin1689 Posted 10 September , 2004 Share Posted 10 September , 2004 Can any one tell me what this was? I have two pictures It may be spelt wrong - It does n't have a number or a State designation so may be unique I think it is some kind of equivalent to our Royal Army Ordnance Corps ie ammunition examination and storage Many Thanks

Guest Chip Minx Posted 11 September , 2004 Share Posted 11 September , 2004 tintin, Here are some Armierungs Batl. artifacts. The first is the reverse side of an identity disk from Feldwebel Leutnant & Kompanie Führer, Eduard Jalowitzki. The second is an armband (brassard) as worn by members of these labor battalions. tintin1689 Posted 11 September , 2004 Author Share Posted 11 September , 2004 Many Thanks Gents, This has been a great help I am helping to write a book on German Military Bands and their music, basically from the peace of Tilsit until 1933. We had two pictures of a band from these troops, but did not know what they were. We were at work all yesterday selecting pictures and annotating the manuscript where they should go. Unfortunately the publisher did not want these two :-( I will try to get them scanned In the meantime if either of you gentleman would like a list of Regiments their marches and nicknames e-mail me and I would be pleased to supply Thanks again, Ian
