SteveMarsdin Posted 21 June , 2013 Share Posted 21 June , 2013 Good morning, There have been a lot more French maps uploaded onto the Gallica site recently, as this post on the francophone forum Pages14-18 highlights: http://pages14-18.mesdiscussions.net/forum2.php?config=pages1418.inc&cat=15&post=2626&page=1&p=1&sondage=0&owntopic=2&trash=0&trash_post=0&print=0&numreponse=0"e_only=0&new=0&nojs=0#t10713
alain dubois Posted 21 June , 2013 Share Posted 21 June , 2013 (edited) Hi Yes, French speaking forum, ..... and French detailed informations: choose "English" in Langues ( Languages) at the top, it'll be more easy to make sorts and selections. The last maps show devastated areas, with a good scale, it's possible to discover temporary cemeteries and others now missing spots. See here for the maps of the year (96 today), published in 20th century ( some good chances to see maps of the Great War) Click the thumbnail, then display zoom and if necessary wait, Gallica' server is sometimes overbooked and operates in degraded mode.
