jonathanb2701 Posted 29 June , 2013 Share Posted 29 June , 2013 I have read in the Newsletter newspaper, that on Monday 1st July 2013, a book called " Scarce Heard Amid the Guns " will be launched in the War Memorial Gallery, 21 Talbot Street, Belfast at 12 noon. It is based on the letters and diaries of Lieut. Colonel Claud Potter, who served with the 36th Ulster Division through W.W.1. The 184 page book is written by his son Major John Potter, and is illustrated with sketch maps and photographs. I have no connection with the sale of this book or it's author, but is sounds like a interesting book from the scarcely heard artillery point of view. Anneca Posted 2 July , 2013 Share Posted 2 July , 2013 Thanks for posting Jonathan, it does look interesting. There is another book of the same name by Lt.Col. John Conrad. It is a perspective on the various Canadian missions. Anne
