andyspiller Posted 14 September , 2004 Share Posted 14 September , 2004 Pals Just found another relative. Checked on the mother site and it would appear that he would have died (DOD 27/7/1916) during the batlle for Delville Wood. I have also searched the forum for any info on the Sportsman Bn's (without much luck ). Does anybody know any more about these battalions? Also a SDIGW lookup would be appreciated - I have already done the CDWC bit. Kind regards Andy

Guest Ian Bowbrick Posted 14 September , 2004 Share Posted 14 September , 2004 Andy, You might also look at 'Kitchener's Army' by the great Ray Westlake - there are some interesting photographs in the chapter on the 33rd Division. Ian
