dorrie Posted 14 September , 2004 Share Posted 14 September , 2004 I have looked at the order of battle for Aubers Ridge and cannot find any mention of the above battalion being involved. I beleive this Battalion were part of the 2nd Brigade , 1st Division who were present at Aubers. The person I am researching J P Boote was a private in the above battalion and died 10/5/1915, 1 day after the start of Aubers. PhilB Posted 14 September , 2004 Share Posted 14 September , 2004 They were indeed involved, Dorrie. 7 officers & 19 men KIA or DOW, 6 officers and 190 men wounded, 21 men missing. fighting strength on the day was 19 officers and 806 men. 2 Brig was on the right of the div front, attacking in support from Chocolat Menier Corner to the Cinder track.
