1st Battalion Loyal North Lancs

I have looked at the order of battle for Aubers Ridge and cannot find any mention of the above battalion being involved. I beleive this Battalion were part of the 2nd Brigade , 1st Division who were present at Aubers. The person I am researching J P Boote was a private in the above battalion and died 10/5/1915, 1 day after the start of Aubers. If they were not there does any body have any idea where they may well have been

thanks in anticipation

The next 3 posts are extracts from the North Lancs History covering 1/LNL from the 7th to the 20th May (mainly the fighting on the 9th).

What`s the large item, left upper centre, Laurent?  Phil B

I think it's a pitcher (whisky or beer !) sure ww1 .

Looks like a S.R.D. Jar fragment. (Service Rum).
