Any 2nd Worcesters experts out there?

Hello,

Does anyone have access to the 2nd Worcesters embarkation roll for when they first landed in France on 12/13th August 1914. I'm trying to find if a Private 9441 William Sharp is listed. Or better still if he was at their famous charge at Ghelivelt in October.

Thanks

Duncan.

Shouldn't his 'medal index card' tell you when he arrived in theatre? I don't know how far they are through the 's' yet...

the History of the Worcester regiment can be found on CD which can be purchased from the Midlands historical data e mail is as follows enquiries@midlandshistoricaldata.org. i have just recived a copy today whist it doesn't appear to give specifics of individual soldiers the short time I have looked at it appears to be a very good buy and well worth looking at.

Thanks for the help.

He did land on the 12th August 1914, but I was wondering if he was on the embarkation roll, as the Worcesters museum say he's not, which I thought was rather strange! Also, his MIC does not have him as being awarded an Aug-Nov bar, which again is odd.

Cheers.

Duncan.
