An Illustration diary of its Most Exciting Years, first published in 1927

Bought this book in a charity shop and it's very well illustrated and some terrific photos of the war

It Mentions the following with photographs.

American’s first shot in the War

Battery C pulled a cannon across a field and fired America’s first shot in WW1 ON October 23, 1917 at 6.05 am. The blast took place one kilometre east of Bathelemont.

There is a chapter on” My fight with Richthofen” by A Roy Brown.

Lots of Photos of Richthofen and a spectacular photo of an actual dog fight.

Hell in the Holy Land by Lowell Thomas and Kenneth Brown Collings..Some nice photos of Lawrence

A photo of “Calamity Jane “ It was the last Gun Fired in WW1.
