There are books on individuals, regiments and places, and some books of photographs of German, British and US troops. OK, let me come clean: I'm a former professional writer and editor who's had three books published in the conventional way and self-published another, and perhaps I'm tempted to be just a little patronising about some others' self-published books. But I do think that self-publishing can prove to be a positive venture and I've offered what I hope is constructive advice when we've discussed it before. I would just like to read what others think of the end results. Perhaps a couple of the covers featured in Bill's link could have been more imaginative?
