Hi ,

can anyone give me any information on a Thomas Edward TIMMS,Private,43714/2/5th Bn Sherwood Forresters?

He died 21/03/18 around the village of Noreuil.

Does anyone know:-

a/his part in the engagement and where he was exactly when he was killed.

b/when he joined up

c/his history in the unit

Many thanks for any help anyone can give me.

Info. from SDGW on Timms:

Pte. 43714 Thomas E. Timms, 2/5th Bn.Notts & Derby Regt.

Born: Sutton Bridge, Lincs.

Enlisted: Lincoln

Residence: Holbeach, Lincs.

Killed in Action 21 March 1918, France & Flanders.

Commemorated on the Arras Memorial.
