The date is significant because John Harrsion died of enteric fever on that date and is has a grave at Cario War Memorial Cemetery. charlesmessenger Posted 25 September , 2004 Share Posted 25 September , 2004 1st/1st Wast Riding Yeomanry did not leave UK for Egypt until late October 1915 and joined the Western Frontier Force, responsible for dealing with pro-Turkish Arabs in the Western Desert of Egypt, in April 1916.
