Guest Tommy Cude Posted 25 September , 2004 Share Posted 25 September , 2004 My father-in-law, Tommy Cude was a lovely man, as well as serving in WW1 he did sterling work in his own town, in WW2. I have not been able to find his service record in the National Archives. I only have the details off his medal record which are as follows----- Thomas T Cude, RGA Gunner 181424, Victory and British medals, RGA/208B, 10899(page no). Any ideas of where to look now would be much appreciated.
J T Gray Posted 26 September , 2004 Share Posted 26 September , 2004 The name sounds VERY familiar - have you come upon any references to him in WW1 literature? I was reading something this morning over the Shredded Wheat, so I'll check that for you. Won't help with his service record (probably ash, unless he was mis-spelt, like my grandfather's, worse luck!), but you never know what it might add... J T Gray Posted 27 September , 2004 Share Posted 27 September , 2004 I'm afraid I've got your hopes up for nothing - I was reading about a Robert Cude in the 7th Buffs. Sorry! Adrian
