docchippy Posted 26 September , 2004 Share Posted 26 September , 2004 Recently acquired medals belonging to two brothers who both died as members of the Royal Welsh Fusliers. 55175, Pte, Leslie James Bradley, 2nd Batt, RWF, kia, 20 April 1917. Formerly 3134 Mongomeryshire Yeomanry. 58384, Pte, John Harold Bradley, 16th Btn RWF, KIA 24 August 1918. Leslie James Bradley: Can any members help with details esp about 2 Royal Welsh Fusilers at this time in April 17. I have read Frank Richards "Old Soldiers Never Die" (superb reprint ed by D. Langley of the Forum). Also Capt J C Dunn's account. He makes no mention of specific attacks on this day - fatigues and duties previous day and aircraft in the sky etc. Does the war diary for this date offer any enlightenment? Do any members have knowledge of the reinforcement of the RWF with Montgomeryshire Yeomanry? On John Harold Bradley: Any info about battn that day would be much appreciated.
