rflory Posted 26 September , 2004 Share Posted 26 September , 2004 John: 326th Siege Battery went to the Western Front on 14 May 1917 armed with four 6" Howitzers (26 cwt) and joined 98th Heavy Artillery Group (HAG) on 23 May 17. It transferred to 91st HAG on 30 May 17; rejoined 98th HAG on 5 Sep 17 (actually joined on 8 Sep 17); transferred to 54th HAG on 11 Nov 17; to 71st HAG on 20 Nov 17; 29th HAG on 28 Nov 17; to 54th HAG on 29 Nov 17 and to 29th HAG on 9 Dec 17. On 27 Dec 17 it joined 91st HAG on 27 Dec 17 and on 7 Apr 18 was made up to six howitzers with the addition of on section from 510th Siege Battery, RGA. Unfortunately the Battery's War Diary has not been traced. Regards. Dick Flory
