nilved Posted 1 October , 2004 Share Posted 1 October , 2004 Private George Tait Allan, 2nd Battalion, Royal Scots Fusiliers, Reg. No. 40611, b 11/2/1897, d 29/4/1917. Buried St. Sever Cemetery Extension, Rouen Seine-Maritime, France, Ref: P. II N 8A. A trawl of the medal records showed that he previously served with the Highland Light Infantry as Private, Reg. No. 28630. Why would he have changed regiments? Which action was he most likely killed in? Any information appreciated.
