66845 Private Herbert FAIRY enlisted on 07/05/1916 and was discharged as a result of wounds under King's Regulations Para 392 (XV1) (no longer physically fit for war service.....) on the 25/10/1918. It is confirmed that he did serve overseas.

On 09/12/1918 he was issued with Silver War Badge No B72366. He received no decorations as a result of his war service, but would have been issued with the British War and Victory medals. It is not known whether he served with any other Regiment or Corps and may have been directly recruited into the MGC. Neither is it known which MG Company he served with whilst overseas.
