Do any Forum members write for newspapers or magazines? Some of you must! Is there anyone of those who would volunteer to review
VETERAN VOLUNTEER
Memoir of the Trenches, Tanks and Captivity 1914 – 1919
by Frank Vans Agnew
which is due out in the spring?
Here are some of topics which it covers:
Tank Corps
2nd King Edwards Horse Regt (which was recruited from the colonies, largely Canadian, some Australians, some Brit who came back from Argentina
Main battles:
1916, the Somme
1917, Messines
3rd Ypres
Cambrai
These last three in some depth.
Prisoners of war in Germany; I think such detailed info about being a PoW is quite rare; people didn’t want to write about it. There is what I believe to be a very rare (unique?) photo of German soldiers, members now ‘working for’ the new ruling council after the Kaiser fled, in the car belonging to the local Duke, taken from inside a PoW camp looking out, on Armistice Day.
The repatriation of other British prisoners from Copenhagen, info about this is quite scarce

In addition, I think it's very interesting, lively and well illustrated - but I suppose I would, wouldn't I?

I'd be very glad to hear from any writers, broadcasters etc. who'd be interested in reviewing it or with any help reaching anyone who would. Thanks.

Jamie.
