In the Medal Roll.

2nd Btn Royal Sussex Reg

9th Btn Royal Sussex Reg.

13th Tank Corps.

He Enlisted 1915 Uckfield, Sussex.

There's No Service Records (in PRO)

I found a local newspaper cutting giving details of my G/uncle death.

In the report it say's "In September 1916 he was seriously wounded in the back of the head and neck"

Can anybody help me find what battle he took part in and where. I believe he was with 2nd Btn Royal Sussex Reg.

Also in the newspaper report it give's refference to letter's from his commanding officer and a lieutenant who was driving the tank when it recieved a direct hit which killed my G/uncle.

Has anybody got any ideas of how i can find who the commanding officer and Lieutenant are?
