Hello All;

I am carrying out research into the Soldier shown in the attached Photograph but on this occasion I do not think that he is wearing a service uniform; could members advise.

Regards

Gerry

Do you have a name Gerry?

He certainly appears to be wearing issue boots and puttees. The side cap may suggest Royal Flying Corps.

I'm not a uniform man but could they be Kitchener Blues?

Steve is correct, he is wearing a "Kitchener Blues" uniform.

Unfortunately, there is no obvious insignia to indicate his Regiment. Gerry do you know his name???

I have attached a group photo where the same uniform is being worn.

Tim D, Steve, Lieut Colonel, many thanks for your replies.

The Man's name is James Craven and believe that he was with the 12th, (Service), Battalion, York and Lancs but cannot confirm at this stage.

Best wishes.
