Cumbrian1 Posted 16 March , 2014 Share Posted 16 March , 2014 I am trying to identify the regiment of this soldier, and his cuff badge. I would be most grateful for any assistance.

Andrew Upton Posted 16 March , 2014 Share Posted 16 March , 2014 Royal First Devon Yeomanry - possibly Hotchkiss Gunner (cuff badge)? HG for Hotchkiss Gunner was my first thought - it doesn't quite fit the standard pattern though, but there are enough variations through different makers and private purchase to not make that unusual. Cumbrian1 Posted 16 March , 2014 Author Share Posted 16 March , 2014 Many thanks both for your prompt responses. The regiment fits in with what little I know about him. Your help is much appreciated.
Steven Broomfield Posted 16 March , 2014 Share Posted 16 March , 2014 It's a splendid picture. If you have any more details (name, for example), I'm sure others might be able to flesh out some details.
