Hi.

Could someone please tell me what the square arm patch is ? Or anything in the photo of interest to me.

This is Fredrick Byott. Who was at the Home Of Recovery. leicester. in 1919. Suffered from shell shock. and killed himself at the Hospital. Still trying to finf out about the Hospital.

He looks like he is wearing hostpital uniform but I'm afraid I don't know the significance of the arm patch. Maybe something to do with denoting his condition or the hostpital.

Lance Corporal, Royal Artillery, two wound stripes.  But you probably knew that already.

Yes i knew he was in the royal artilley

But i did not know that was a 2 wound stripe !!!. Thanks so much for that info.

Ummmmm...............still no mention of him under Byatt under CWGC <_<

Thanks for that. yes some times they did get our name mixed up as Byatt.

I soppose that is why he is not on the CWGC. As he was in hospital sufffering from shell shock when he took his own life. ???

he had been in the war for 3 years. shall get a researcher on to this later. Thanks for the help thou.

No - he should be on the CWGC perhaps yopu need to engage Terry Denham on this one.
