eviltaxman Posted 13 October , 2004 Share Posted 13 October , 2004 Afternoon all. I know we have many experts here, but is anyone any good with the Gloucester Reg? I'm trying to track down a family member that may/may not have been in the Glosters. The info I've got is Pte Albert Coole, 1560 TF. He went on to serve with the Lancashire Fusiliers as a Private, 328100. The MIC shows he landed in France on 31/3/15 and was later discharged - but no reason/KR code... nothing. What I'd like to know is which TF Btn he was in - if you can tell from the serial number?!?! Cheers, Les. ps.... off on a tangent slightly... when I downloaded Alberts MIC I also got another for a Coole I was after (Alfred - RAMC) - rather lucky - only to find out that he only got the pair, which were sent back in Jan 1922 and subsequently reissued in March '22. I've got the Victory Medal
eviltaxman Posted 13 October , 2004 Author Share Posted 13 October , 2004 Just had a "proper" look at the mothersite and it shows that the 1/4th & 1/6th Btn landed on 31/3/15. Is there anyone can that confirm which Btn he was in? Les.
