Gloucester Reg....

Afternoon all.

I know we have many experts here, but is anyone any good with the Gloucester Reg?

I'm trying to track down a family member that may/may not have been in the Glosters. The info I've got is Pte Albert Coole, 1560 TF. He went on to serve with the Lancashire Fusiliers as a Private, 328100.

The MIC shows he landed in France on 31/3/15 and was later discharged - but no reason/KR code... nothing.

What I'd like to know is which TF Btn he was in - if you can tell from the serial number?!?!

Cheers,

Les.

ps.... off on a tangent slightly... when I downloaded Alberts MIC I also got another for a Coole I was after (Alfred - RAMC) - rather lucky - only to find out that he only got the pair, which were sent back in Jan 1922 and subsequently reissued in March '22. I've got the Victory Medal :D

Just had a "proper" look at the mothersite and it shows that the 1/4th & 1/6th Btn landed on 31/3/15.

Is there anyone can that confirm which Btn he was in?

Les.
