Imad Posted 8 May , 2014 Share Posted 8 May , 2014 Hello everyone I'm wondering what fellow forum members think of "Catastrophe", Max Hastings' one volume book on the Great War. I'm halfway throught the book already and haven't detected any egregious errors (but then I'm sure there are better judges of that here since I'm more World War Two-centric!). The writing style is inimitable as usual. I think this book should put to rest any notions people have of the author being "pro German" or anything of that nature. His criticism of German generalship, especially in 1914, is quite tart and worth paying attention to. Thoughts?
