Hugh Pattenden Posted 15 October , 2004 Share Posted 15 October , 2004 I'm no expert, but I'd hazard a guess at Seaforth Highlanders. If I am wrong, please correct me. Hugh
Guest Russell.Gore@crawley.gov.uk Posted 15 October , 2004 Share Posted 15 October , 2004 Looking on the Sporran looks to me like there could be a Gordons Badge at the top of it ?.
DrB Posted 15 October , 2004 Share Posted 15 October , 2004 Looks like the Seaforth to me. MacKenzie tartan, sporran for the Seaforths (two black tassels on white, Seaforth badge on sporran as Gordon's was similiar, but with a wreath around the stag head), hose: red/scarlet stripes on white. Gordons wore scarlet stripes on black hose. Probably pre 1914 as full dress was packed away for the war. DrB
