Ferguson73uk Posted 17 October , 2004 Share Posted 17 October , 2004 As part of my ongoing research into the 2/8th Worcestershire in 1918, I've come across an entry in the War Diary for 24th June that states that 6 officers and 109 other ranks were 'PUO cases'. Does anyone have any idea what 'PUO' means? Thanks, as ever! Jonathan
Tom Morgan Posted 17 October , 2004 Share Posted 17 October , 2004 Johnathan, it means "Pyrexia of Unknown Origin" - basically the man has a temperature or fever, and the cause has not been diagnosed yet. Tom
