Guest elliot Posted 19 October , 2004 Share Posted 19 October , 2004 Hi, I am looking for some advice on a Jäger-Bataillon around June 1917.One of my relations served in 1./Jäger-Bataillon 5 in June 24th 1917. Paul Hederer Posted 27 October , 2004 Share Posted 27 October , 2004 Colin, The 5th Jaeger battalion stared the war as part of the 6th Cavalry division. It was later paired with the 6th Jaeger batl. in the 6th Jaeger Regiment. This regiment became part of the 195th division in July 1916.
