Without Service Number...getting nowhere!

Hi, Thomas married in his hometown of Greenock in June 1915 and his occupation is given as shipyard labourer. So.......he either joined up after he married or his war was over by that time...no idea which yet. :glare: If it was the latter the family story of him being discharged after a fall may well be correct. Hope to get to the bottom of it one day. I have ordered a record for service number 695979 in the hope that it is him. At the moment the link sent by NA wont let me see it so I have emailed them.

I did see the info on William on FMP and I too am wondering about the Lr after blacksmith, I bet you a member will come up with it...you are all fabulous

Thanks :):):)

If Thomas married in 1915. Were any children born between 1915 and 1919? Again the father's occupation should be on the birth record.
